Stansomatic started by reviewing the design to clarify its characteristics and requirement specifications. The challenge was an electronic button that didn’t give the user any tactical feedback. We wanted to solve their challenge and based on our experience with manufacturing technologies, we came up with a solution. We decided to develop a mechanical activation button with built-in feedback.
With this optimization solution, the customer achieved a product with a lower price and a new design that was more compact and gave the user a clear response upon activation as the mechanical contact was cheaper than the electronic one.
