Optimized tool design decreases your expenses

The key to a competitive product is to integrate production know-how early in the design phase. That is why we suggest that you consult us for any product development projects. We know that customers have specific needs and our experience shows us that if a design is optimized to fit the manufacturing processes, the lower the part price will be. This means that you can obtain higher savings by including us early on in the design phase.

Our design team works in cooperation with other departments by sharing ideas and possibilities. They discuss all relevant parameters for manufacturing processes that best fulfill the product requirements and run analyses and simulations to optimize and improve the product quality. Planning, designing, developing and analyzing are all part of the tool design process. Some of our customers have come to us with an existing design and asked us if we can help them redesign the product. We have always succeeded in optimizing their product designs which is why we also offer to help with optimization projects based on an existing design.

Tool design is an important part of the manufacturing process

Other than taking the overall product and production method into account, they consider the shape and function, material- and process choice, surface treatment, packaging, assembly and delivery. Our tool design team works closely with the tooling and prototyping department to optimize the product quality while also saving manufacturing costs. The involved departments prepare in-depth FMEA-analyses and tolerance analyses which considerably reduce the risk of source errors.

Technical knowledge and design skills

Our design and engineering department has extensive know-how and years of experience drawing tool designs. Our tool constructors have worked as tool makers and later taken higher education to become tool designers. All our tool design engineers are equipped with specialized software that enables them to draft blueprints, determine tool specifications and prepare data. We use the newest versions of software programs and systems for design and engineering such as TopSolid and CAD/CAM.
