Our design team works in cooperation with other departments by sharing ideas and possibilities. They discuss all relevant parameters for manufacturing processes that best fulfill the product requirements and run analyses and simulations to optimize and improve product quality. Tool design is an important part of the manufacturing process
Other than considering the overall product and production method, they consider the shape and function, material- and process choice, surface treatment, packaging, assembly and delivery. Our tool design team works closely with the tooling and prototyping department to optimize product quality while saving manufacturing costs. The involved departments prepare in-depth FMEA and tolerance analyses which considerably reduce the risk of source errors.
Technical knowledge and design skills
Our design and engineering department has extensive know-how and years of experience drawing tool designs. Our tool constructors have worked as tool makers and later taken higher education to become tool designers. All our tool design engineers are equipped with specialized software that enables them to draft blueprints, determine tool specifications and prepare data. We use the newest versions of software programs and systems for design and engineering such as TopSolid and CAD/CAM.
